Who am I?
My name is Justin (he/him). I grew up in Juneau, Alaska where my love for the outdoors and photography was fostered. I’ve cultivated a fond connection to nature and a passion for adventure.
As a graduate student at the School for International Training Graduate Institute, I am passionate about promoting intercultural exchange and mutual understanding through education.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in International & Intercultural Studies and Sociology from Pitzer College, where I honed my skills in leadership, project management, and problem-solving while exploring social and cultural issues. My international experiences studying in Nepal, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe have given me valuable insights into various educational systems.
I spent most of 2023 in Tsabong, Botswana where I was teaching under a Fulbright grant issued by the Institute for International Education. I am driven by a mission to empower learners and foster mutual connection through education. Now, as a graduate student, I am in Kathmandu, Nepal, studying International Education.
I’m also a dedicated runner, having completed three marathons, and I’m ranked among the top 500 Wingspan players worldwide!
